I am following the oak academy python tutorials and sometimes it says to import something from ncce. I copy the command exactly and I get an error:
traceback (most recent call last):
file "main.py", line 1, in
from ncce.space import people
ModuleNotfoundError: No module named 'ncce'

every time I do a: from ncce.# import #
(the # refers to some characters)
I get an error

can anyone help?

You haven't installed ncce. You have two main options:

  1. On the left of the IDE, click the box icon. Search for "ncce", click it, then press the plus.
  2. Go to the "Shell" tab of the IDE, type "pip install ncce", then press enter.

That should install ncce from PyPi, and when running again, it should be able to find it.

sorry, I don't Understand:
I clicked the box icon (labeled packages) and searched ncce but it wasn't there.
also I don't understand what you mean by the "IDE" or the "Shell"

What is "ncce"? It doesn't seem to exist as a package.

The IDE is your development environment; it's the editor. The shell is a Bash shell on the right of the IDE, under a tab labeled "Shell".

its fine, I have worked it out: ncce is something you can only use if you "fork" projects from a specific account called ncce made for tutorials.
