Error Message
Hi,
How to solve this problem now?
I was normally creating a Weather Forecast, and I closed the tab and when I opened it again it gave me this error.
It has my 900 lines of code, which I cannot leave it to go.
Please anyone help me.
If this is confirmed that it will not open Is there any way to restore my 900 lines into another repl.??
Or at least is there any option to see my history to copy/paste the data into another repl?
Help me out
Thanks a lot
@Coder100 @CodingRobot12 @ZDev1 @dillonjoshua68 @NDLFOREVER @JosephSanthosh @Bookie0
Thanks, guys for all your support.
And my Repl it booted when I restored my latest history version.
You all were the part of trying to restore my Repl.
You all were trying to remove this weird bug from my Repl.
My heart is full of words, I can't mention them.
You are awesome guys here!
Thanks a lot, Once again!
cool @PattanAhmed
ok brilliant
@NDLFOREVER Thanks. I got sucked again in that same error dude :( even in the new file. I will tomorrow report it at- [email protected]
What do you suggest?
Thanks
yeh I agree
That sounds like a good idea @PattanAhmed
@NDLFOREVER Cool.
@CodingRobot12 Thanks for your help.
@PattanAhmed np :D
Dunno try testing out parts of your code bit by bit and seeing which ones cause errors? @PattanAhmed
@ComputingSquid Thanks.
I am trying my best!
Noiceee @PattanAhmed

@parth800 Cool!
Really glad that a lot of folks were taking time to help out PattanAhmed! For those of you that are interested and want to follow along check out the post here https://repl.it/bugs/p/error-in-opening-my-repl. We are currently working on this and have been able to figure out what was and is driving the issue, we are currently working on a solution at the moment.
@obaidaa Thanks a lot.
I really appreciate yours and other's hard works here to help me solve my bug.
Hi! Fork the repl.
@Coder100 How?
forking it? what do you mean
@PattanAhmed I think that's what you mean?
@Coder100 What will forking do?
Thanks
@PattanAhmed Forking is basically like restarting the repl IDE
@Coder100 But it also didn't work in my case now as @CodingRobot12 have tried it just now.
Thanks a lot for your support.
@CodingRobot12 I created another new Repl and named WeatherForcastApp1
and in that also the bug is available.
It's giving this error again.
So, the last thing is to email- [email protected] and see what they reply?
I have reported this error in bugs and a section called to 'report this error' (that is given in this error)
But no reply till now!
@PattanAhmed Thanks a lot for your help
@CodingRobot12 Yes, Exactly.
Please suggest me in this regard.
Thanks a lot
Hmm...that's interesting. I think my strategy is only a tempoary one @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 I will patiently wait.
Thanks!
You can see the history...
By the way you can just reload the page and it will back
the IDE is having problems, oof lemme see if theres anything I can do
does github work with Repl, anyways you should report the error as its probably either the ide crashing or not having the ability to load the files, also it might be that you have run out of memeory
@NDLFOREVER Thanks a lot.
@NDLFOREVER In the meantime, Can I email them at- [email protected]?
Thanks
@NDLFOREVER Or is there any way to restore my all 900 lines of code in another repl.?
it fine hopefully it gets solved
or [this] (https://repl.it/bugs/) can help
@NDLFOREVER Thanks, Will it return with my 900 lines of code too?
thats why I wanted to know about the github thingy I will look into it
@NDLFOREVER I am scared because I never saw this type of weird messages earlier in my smaller projects.
This is the biggest project that I was doing.
Thanks for giving me hope.
@NDLFOREVER I have done both.
Can I email repl.it at- [email protected]?
Thanks.
it might on scratch you can see any project unshared or shared via github
@NDLFOREVER I don't have a Github account :(
Thanks for your effort
it fine as I said try the bugs and report error thing because it might be a glitch in repl.it I have had the "Oh No! The IDE is having a bot of trouble" error whenever using the debugger but whenever I reload it it works
@NDLFOREVER OK!
Thanks
I reccomend waiting for an answer give it some time because they might respond with a, link that I gave you but they might not idk, its up to you but I would wait for a bit
wait a sec
it fine, also how big is the repl?
@NDLFOREVER
I have reloaded it like 50 times, every time I reload it poops up again.
Now can I restore it another Repl?
Thanks.
@NDLFOREVER I will surely wait.
Thanks
it might be a temporary bug
@NDLFOREVER I will wait like 3-4 days. If not any responses or results from my repl. or reports/bugs section
I will email them(support center of Repl.it) at [email protected]
@NDLFOREVER
Isn't it Permanent?
I thought it was permanent.
Thanks alot
ok good idea
idk, but how much memory is this repl?
@NDLFOREVER 500MB is for free for people like and me
I think Hacker plan gives more memory.
Thanks
Yep, it’s best to report it... I guess they can access the database/ files which are linked to the lines of ur code and restore it... @PattanAhmed
no how much memory is this specific repl
That's kind of weird because for me, I was able to code 3000 lines without anything happening. But I guess it was simpler @NDLFOREVER
hmmm idk what this bug could be
@NDLFOREVER Ok, I will wait for 2-3 days and at last, I will e-mail them at- [email protected]
Thanks for your support.
@CodingRobot12 Do you know how to solve this because this was only my project that contains 900 lines and I cannot leave it to go in the thin air.
Please help me if it is possible for you to help me in any direction. I have reported every place where it is possible for me to report my bug. But no reply till now!
The last thing left is to email them at- [email protected]
What do you say about that, Should I report them now or should I wait 2-3 days?
Please suggest to me.
Thanks a lot
I am not sure if I can solve this but if I remember clearly I got this message before and when I reloaded it was just fine. Maybe just wait for some time and try again a couple hours later. In the meanwhile, just report the bug now because this is an interesting one @PattanAhmed
@NDLFOREVER it is like around 64 kb
Thanks a lot for your support.
Actually never mind I forked the repl and it worked! There is no error message. I am going to invite you so you can copy and paste the code to a new repl @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 I am waiting from almost 6 hours till now.
And I reported my bug wherever it is possible for me to report it.
I will e-mail them tomorrow if my code doesn't appear there.
Thanks for your support.
@CodingRobot12 That would be an honor for me.
Thanks a lot.
I am sorry but never mind again because apparently when I reloaded the page it gave that same error message. I tried to fork another one and it didn't work either. Also, the weirdest part is that mind takes almost 2x more storage
@dillonjoshua68 I reported them, But no response till now!
I will just wait
Thanks.
@CodingRobot12 Storage is not the part.
The core is just to get my code back.
Thanks a lot for your trials.
ok I am thinking about other ways for this problem to work @PattanAhmed
Also, I was just thinking if storage was a factor that caused the error message to appear @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 Thanks for your effort!
Oh ok... sure @PattanAhmed
Also, I was thinking for a bit and now I also think that the Internet may have caused this problem to happen. I think that because I am trying to load my highest storage repl and it is taking like 3 minutes already @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12
How that would be storage, It's just 64 KB
?
People here actually code more than 10 MB
without any issues.
Thanks a lot.
@dillonjoshua68 Thanks.
oh I also looked at your history and it is incredibly weird and strange. Unless the history is different if the person forked, something is weird about what is happening. Maybe try to access your repl from the history and see if you get the same thing
Also it is weird because my thing just finished loading the big one @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 My internet always is stable and I would get rarely disconnected while coding here in Repl.it.
I also waited for 30 minutes hoping that it may restore my code.
And the second thing that I can access all my Repls except this.
Thanks a lot for your kind help!
@CodingRobot12 Wait for a minute.
I will try that too.
Thanks.
That is incredibly weird @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 My also.
It's Loading
After that Downloading files 100%
After that Booting Repl.
After that Ready
And it also shows Connected message right at the right bottom as usual.
After all that usual process I am getting this weird error
@CodingRobot12 Thanks for your support.
@CodingRobot12 For Sure! :(
Thanks a lot
Wait did you try the history method? Like trying to access the history. @PattanAhmed
If you are wondering how to access the history, on the left side of the screen, click My Repls. Then you should see your repl. Click the three dots and you should see an option History @PattanAhmed
Also, maybe if 2 hours later you try and it does not work, you should probably report the bug @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 Whoala.
My Repl. got Booted up by your method!
Thanks a lot for your time given for me to solve my weird bug.
Wait by clicking history? @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 Yes, I know that!
Thanks
ok no problem. Tell me if it ends up loading @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 That was my final decision!
Thanks for your kind help.
@CodingRobot12 Booted up dude!
Thanks a lot for your time spent for me to solve this weird nasty error
Thanks a lot @CodingRobot12 !
oh that's interesting because back up at the post it still shows the bug @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 No, The bug disappeared completely even when I refresh it.
Thanks a lot.
Ok. Were you able to access the code? @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 No,
I again restored the latest history version. And it returned my code back.
For my safety, I created a new Repl. and pasted all the code there.
When I open that Repl now it again gives that error.
But no problem, I will delete that Repl and use the other one.
Thanks a lot as it was your idea
Ok, mark as correct answer so that other people can see how to fix errors like these? @PattanAhmed
@CodingRobot12 OfCourse.
@CodingRobot12 Please can you change the picture that you have posted in that to these (Check the below pics) so that I can mark your answer.
And add this sentence too 'Please create a new Repl and paste all that code there for your safety once you got the code by restoring the latest version of the history!'..... So that other people may get this choice too.
Thanks a lot.
So, in order to solve this you must go look at the left bar tool and then press My Repls. Click the three dots on the side of the repl you want to change like this:
You should then see the history of your repl. It should look something like this:
Then, go to your latest version and press restore.
After that, it should probably work. However, just in case it doesn't work later, you should copy the code and move it to a new repl.
@Coder100 @CodingRobot12 @ZDev1 @dillonjoshua68 @NDLFOREVER @JosephSanthosh @Bookie0
Thanks, guys for all your support.
And my Repl again gave that weird bug. So, I restored my latest history version again and copied all that code and created a new Repl and pasted there for my safety.
For now, I will delete this Repl and I will continue my coding there on that Repl.
Thanks, guys as it was your ideas and opinions.
Thanks a lot.
you dont need to delete it!!
Repl.it usually fixes itself in an hour or so, so you can just transfer code from your fork to the actual repl @PattanAhmed
in fact it loads for me rn @PattanAhmed
@Coder100 But I was waiting 6 hours till now and my code didn't restore. So, For the sake of Safety, I did like that.
I thought that bug may repeat again in future and it would again suck me in problems
Thanks a lot for your support.
@Coder100 What do you mean "rn"?
Thanks
right now @PattanAhmed
@Coder100 Ok, if it returns an error then you can check my profile and get this Repl
WeatherForcastApp1
if you want.I just copied and pasted the code there in the new Repl. For the sake of my Safety :).
Thanks a lot.
