Discord.py 2.0 Beta

IPSDSILVA
IPSDSILVA

Hello community,

Recently the owner and perhaps leader of the Discord.py project stepped down from his position and is no longer taking care and updating it. If you haven't heard this, you can read about it here. Sadly, this could mean that the beta version, which had no ETA of being released stably, will remain as a beta version.

This beta version includes many key features to the newer updates in Discord's API including buttons and much more (slash commands?).

Since I began using Replit and Discord.py, I've never had a need to use the beta version of any package. But, considering the current circumstances, I might have to.

My question for all of you is: Is it possible to use beta versions of packages within a Replit? If so, how?

I appreciate any and all help

You can install a package with a GitHub link:
pip install git+[your link].git
(Don't put the brackets)

you're using the command in the console. Put it in the shell. The console is for python stuff.

Sadly, the beta does not include slash commands.
