Can someone make an IDE with me for my coding language?
darkdarcool (89)

Hi!

So I made a coding language a long time ago, a lot of it was trash, but I kinda wanted to revive the idea. I want to make an IDE for it, something like you can input code into a text box, that will change the color of important things like string and whatnot.

And when you hit compile your code or errors will pop out somewhere else.

But I suck at making things like that, can someone help me with that? if you want you can create the repl.

Thanks for any help!

@VMTU Only if you need something platform independent

@CSharpIsGud bruh its just a javaclone with namespaces

CSharpIsGud (924)

@VMTU namespaces are better. it also added other things like Reflection, dynamic(Why tf did microsoft add dynamic typing to a static language?), easy C interop, some other things along with it being part of a different runtime. The better java clone.

@CSharpIsGud people only like it because unity. nobody uses c# as a back end.

CSharpIsGud (924)

@VMTU F# is ugly and yes people use C# outside of unity because win forms WPF etc. the only reason people use java is because its already established as a go to cross platform language.
One reason people would avoid java and C# is that they are both super easy to decompile

@CSharpIsGud nah f# good.
c# still isnt a great back end no matter what you say though

VMTU (37)

@CSharpIsGud well atleast people use java

@VMTU Just like people use C#, I have yet to see people really use java and the biggest thing I can think of in java is minecraft
