A little help please?
Ilovetocode7 (0)

Hi so I'm kind of new to replit and I'm trying to create a rock, paper, scissor game. It keeps saying I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what it is. Could I please get some help figuring out what I'm doing wrong? If you volunteer to help I'll send you the link to the code. Thanks.

@Coder100 what do you mean by that?

Alright, your indentation was slightly wrong, I have fixed it for you.
The correct syntax goes like this:

if something:
  if nested:
    # nested ifs
  else:
    # optional else
else:
  # this one is for the outside if

@CosmicBear thanks so much for the help!! To be honest your suggestion did confuse me a bit...and @Wumi4 here is the link: https://replit.com/join/huyfmjzrsj-ilovetocode7 and @Coder100 thanks for the suggestion I'll definitely try it out!!

Your indenting isn't right. Delete all the indents and re-indent them. Right now the code looks like this:

if rps == computer:
  print ("It is a tie! :p")
  if rps== ("rock"):

It should look like this:

if rps == computer:
    print ("It is a tie! :p")
if rps == ("rock"):

Ok.

  • First, what is the language of your program? Python?
  • Second, you can embed the Repl into your post instead of sending an individual link, when you create a new post, there will be a list of Repl for you to choose from on the top of the create post box. The Repl that you choose will be embedded at the end of your post.
    Now give me link.

you can link your repl publicly on the ask post for faster help by the way
