Replit Summer Hackathon!
Henlo fellow replers! Today I am glad to announce another epic hackathon - The Replit Summer Hackathon!
What would you be building? Why of course, An Alexa skill!
But I don't have an Alexa-enabled device...
Who cares!? Amazon provides you with an online simulator (or a downloadable app for phones) to test out your very own Alexa skills.
Maybe I don't know how to make one?
And what are the rules?
- It should be a working Alexa skill.
- It should be hosted on replit
That's cool and all but what is the judging criteria
The submissions will be judged according to how useful they are and well... how creative you were with it. Basically, make something that makes people's lives easier and do it in a fun/creative way!
I built one, how do I submit it?
By the way, it has already started so you can start creating one like right now.
Yes, the ultimate piece of motivating people to participate are the prizes, and we got em too.
There will be 20 Alexa units being given out to the participants (this includes echo dots, Echo frames, Echo show, etc.)
The top 3 also receive a cash prize!
1st place receives $3000, 2nd place receives $2000 and 3rd place receives $1000.
The judging will commence during the first week of September and the results will be announced anytime during the second week of September.
If you have more questions, DM Søren on Twitter!
First 20 will get an alexa or number 1 will get 20 alexas (wut)
Also if you live somewhere else how will you deliver the alexas
How do I post it TheDrone7? I'm using an education account, so unfortunately for me, I cannot use Replit Apps. And since our other Minscroft computer broke a month ago, I can't contact Soren using my Gmail account. And, looks like using an education account I can't access Twitter, either. What do I do?
