Zooming in pivots on the centre, meaning when you zoom in you move towards the sun. It'd be a bit smoother if it zoomed closer to the cursor instead.

Quick question. If I SHARE a post on repl talk obviously I need to add a repl. If I do so can others edit that repl without my permission.

Just to add onto what sn236 already said, all forks are labelled with the original Repl and its creator on the spotlight page. So, if someone forks your code, you will be credited. This does not prevent someone from just copy-pasting your code, so I'd recommend putting a license in your Repl to prevent that.1 year ago

Hi again, they can't unless they fork it, and your repl won't be changed even if they fork and make some changes to it.1 year ago

How long does it take to be known as a professional developer? Based on that, whenever someone gets their first job as a programmer is when they are considered a professional. On the other hand, it takes a very long time to become a good developer let alone a computer scientist. You also talked about how many languages you know, but in reality, they are unconnected to your actual programming skill. The better and better you get at programming the more conceptual it becomes. So try think of lang1 year ago

There is a new section in replit called apps, so you can publish your repls in the apps but make sure you tag them. So if anyone visits the apps section and view the repls in a tag, so they can view your repl,(If it's tagged and the viewer has opened repls of that tag). Showcase is basically pinned repls which are on the top of your recent repls. I've picked 2 repls for my showcase, so they will appear before my recent repls.1 year ago

When we hover cursor over some account in replit talk. We see name, bio and three languages. How do I change these languages.

There is no option where you can change them, but if you create many repls of a particular language it will become your favourite language1 year ago

I can’t speak from the standpoint of google or any other company due that matter, but I can say that C is the way to go. Is it outdated? Yes, but the fact still remains that C will give you a solid base in programming and computer science. From there experiment with different languages but remember that in the end a programming language is just a tool to do something.1 year ago

Well there is no "One best language" or one that google prefers. General purpose languages like Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, or Go may be useful. If you're pertty new to programming. I'd suggest starting with something like Python or JavaScript then go from there.1 year ago

Did you purchase the domain from a site like http://domains.google.com? If not, it won’t work. If you did, follow the attaching to repl section on this post. You can also learn about getting a free domain there. Edit: You also don’t need hacker level to attach a custom domain1 year ago
